Connecting your device and PC

The first   thing to do after you have installed Nokia Nseries PC Suite is to connect your Nseries multimedia device and PC. All the required drivers for your device will be installed on your PC.

The Connect view opens after installation and later, in case your device is not connected. Note that some Nokia Nseries PC Suite applications can be used even if there is no device-to-PC connection available.

To connect your device and PC:

  1. Make sure that the device is switched on.

  2. Depending on what connection type you want to use and what your device and PC support, you should

    • connect the data cable to the PC first and then connect the other end of the cable to the device.

    • activate the Bluetooth wireless technology connection of your device.

  3. If you use the data cable, the connection is created automatically. If you use Bluetooth, click the Connect button to launch the Connection Manager. You have to do this only when you connect your device the first time.

  4. On your Nokia Nseries device, select the connection mode “PC Suite” from the list of options shown.

After connecting your device and your PC, you are ready to synchronise their data. This means that you can, for example, copy your calendar appointments from the PC to your device and your photos from your device to your PC.
